Navigating the application process at Flower Foundation Retirement Homes
Applying for accommodation at Flower Foundation Retirement Homes is designed to be a straightforward and supportive process, ensuring that prospective residents find a home that meets their needs both now and in the future. Here’s a detailed look at the three simple steps involved in securing a place at one of our retirement villages.
Step 1: Application forms
This journey begins with the completion of application forms to reserve your desired unit. This step officially registers your interest and starts the process of securing accommodation at Flower Foundation Retirement Homes.
- How to begin: Obtain the application forms from the Salesperson that has shown you the retirement village.
- What's included: Provide personal details, preferences for the type of accommodation, and any specific needs or considerations.
Step 2: Financial assessment and approval
Once the potential resident or the caregivers of the potential resident (Resident will now be referred to as “you’ve/you’re/you” going forward) application forms are submitted, our team conducts a thorough financial assessment. This is to ensure that the accommodation and future care needs are affordable and sustainable for you as the potential resident or the caregiver of the potential resident.
- Affordability check: Flower Foundation Retirement Homes team evaluates your affordability for the accommodation you’ve applied for, as well as potential future costs for frail care services.
- Deed of surety: A deed of surety is requested as part of the approval process. This acts as a financial safeguard should the resident run into financial difficulty.
Step 3: Medical report form completed by GP
The final step involves a medical assessment to ensure that you are placed in the accommodation best suited to your health and care requirements.
- Medical report: A GP will need to complete a Flower Foundation Retirement Homes medical report, detailing your health status and any necessary medications or treatments.
- Submission and assessment: The completed medical report is submitted to the Matron of your chosen village. The Matron will conduct a nursing assessment to verify the suitability of your accommodation based on your health needs.
- Approval and arrangement: Once your financial and medical assessments are approved, the final arrangements will be made to sign the accommodation agreement.
- Ensuring your peace of mind
